Community Health Network Opens its First Full Service Pharmacy

Freeport, TX, (October 2019)—Community Health Network announced the opening of its first full-service pharmacy set to provide convenient prescriptions to Freeport, Texas residents and the surrounding areas.

"We have been anticipating the opening of this pharmacy for the past year. The CHN Pharmacy, which is collocated within the Brazosport Medical Center in Freeport, will provide high value, low-cost drugs for our patients. Everyone will find value by accessing our pharmacy. This service line further expands our ability to provide comprehensive community-based care that is affordable for the communities we serve. We never want to see anyone go without their medications," said Mark Young, Community Health Network's CEO.

Community Health Network is a system of federally qualified health clinics located in Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris Counties that provide pharmacy, primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, women’s health, men’s health, senior health, oral health care, psychiatry and therapy. Community Health Network is dedicated to developing systems of care that are of high value to the people we serve. We accept Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare, private insurance, and cash payments. Individuals and families that are uninsured may be eligible for care at a discounted price, and patients that are not eligible will find substantial value in our office visits, lab costs, and pharmacy pricing.

Community Health Network expects to expand pharmacy services to two additional locations beginning in 2020. For additional information, visit the www.mychn.org or call 281-824-1480.
